LHBH prides itself in its small classroom size of 2 Teachers to 12-16 students maximum depending on the age of the child.
What are the school day days/hours?
Our 3 hour morning program runs from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM and the extended day option from 7 AM – 3 PM. Depending on space availability, we offer 2-5 day programs.
What time does preschool start?
Teachers will open their classroom doors promptly at 9am, and again at 12 pm for dismissal.
Does my child need to be potty-trained before attending preschool in September?
Please don’t let this be a worry. Our Teachers are fantastic with assisting in the training of your child. If this is the case, we ask that your child wear pull-ups to school, and have a change of clothes in his/her backpack.
Can I request a certain Teacher(s)?
You may certainly make a note who you may want for your child, however placement depends on your child’s age, the number or children we have in the class, and the ages of the children in the class. It really depends how the classes evolve, and we determine placement at the very start of September. But yes, certainly we will take your request into consideration.
What should I do if my child is sick?
Please keep your child home, so as to stop the spread of germs.
What should I do if my child will be absent?
Please call or email the office to let us know your child will be absent. If we do not receive a call or email from you, the LHBH office will call to check on your child.
What if I’m going to be late picking up my child?
Please call the office to let us know you will be late. Please make sure you have anyone who may pick up your child, on your Authorized pick up list ahead of time.
When is tuition due?
Tuition is due the first of every month. The last tuition payment will be May 1st.
How should I make payment for tuition?
You may mail a check to our LHBH office, drop cash or check by the office, or pay online via Paypal on our website.
Can my child’s birthday be celebrated in class?
Yes. Please make arrangements with your child’s Teacher. We do ask that if you wish to bring a food item in to celebrate, that it be a nut-safe and store bought treat. Our Teachers are aware of any food allergies that must be considered.
What should my preschooler bring to school?
Your child will be coming home with many projects and papers! A backpack is a great idea. Also a great idea is a change of clothes for all children.
Can my child bring his/her own snack and drink to school?
LHBH provides your child with a nut-safe healthy snack and choice of apple juice of water each day as part of tuition.
We also ask that children refrain from eating breakfast before entering an LHBH classroom. We do have children with allergies, and our number one concern is keeping LHBH safe for all.
Can my child bring his/her favorite toy to school?
Though we don’t encourage it, your child could bring something to school if it’s something that can be shared. Often toys go around the classroom, and sometimes they don’t make it home, or even could get broken. Please keep this in mind. There are certain times that children are asked to bring in their favorite items for show and tell. Also, if your child has a favorite transition item such as a blanket, or picture of family, etc., he/she may bring that to help transition to the classroom particularly at the start of school.
Does LHBH provide transportation?
Unfortunately, we do not. Parents and guardians are responsible for dropping off and picking up. Those picking up must be at least 18 years old. All persons must be on Authorized pick up lists provided by parents. Please do not be offended if LHBH staff asks for identification from those picking up your child until we get to know them.
What is Breakfast Buddies / Lunch Bunch?
